A life in purgatory is a card game designed to offer a unique experience each and every time. Players start each game with a unique and different character that offers starting bonus effects. You then take turns drawing a Purgatory card. Purgatory cards give players one of two options, tell a lie in an effort to fool your friends or tell the truth hoping they believe you.

Depending on the outcome you either draw a Heaven card, Hell card or nothing at all. the aim is to build as strong hand to beat your opponents by slowly taking their characters lives down to zero.

The idea came to the creator like a bolt of lightning one night. The game went through many iterations before becoming what it is today. The game's inspiration was drawn from dozens of others to create something that takes the best of all of them.
